This month, our ABC Readers will be reading the book, Friends to the End for Kids: The True Value of Friendship, by Bradley Trevor Grieve.
The author uses wonderful photographs of animals to show kids what they intuitively know: "that friendship is about love, loyalty, and "most of all" fun. ABC Readers will discuss with students characteristics of a good friendship, including honesty, respect, reliability, trustworthiness, forgiveness, and sharing. By teaching students how to build, nurture and recognize good friendships, we can help create a respectful school climate where all students feel safe and belong.
